Whether in front of the camera or behind it, Dorian Alerte is a dedicated Sports Journalist that is eager to tell stories any way he can. Dorian is the Sports Director at WUTR-TV in Utica, NY, where he has had the opportunity to cover various local high schools and universities, including the Syracuse Orange, Colgate Raiders and Utica University Pioneers Athletics programs. He also anchored and produced his own high school football special, “Friday Night Sports Alerte with Dorian,” showcasing highlights and stories of the local high school football programs. 
Before moving to Utica, he was a Media & Content Reporting intern for the Buffalo Bills, covering game days, practices and community events as a member of the organization. While getting both his bachelor’s and master’s degrees in communications studies at Kean University, Dorian served as the voice of Kean Athletics, providing play-by-play, color commentary and sideline reporting for Kean Live for 13 of Kean’s Division-3 programs. He was also a graduate assistant in the Kean Department of Athletics, helping the department with social media content and telling the stories of the student-athletes.
Dorian is also a photographer, capturing key storytelling moments such as Kiyan Anthony’s viral dunk against Miami during his freshman year, Nate Kingz’s game-winning shot against SMU, graduations and so many other special moments. Above all, Dorian is passionate about telling impactful stories that go beyond who wins and loses. Everyone has a story, and Dorian loves to tell them.
